@ppracingtips - Tamworth Cup

Good Morning,

We have found an opportunity today. The Tamworth Cup presents a great opportunity to make some weekend money. Good odds and we have all in running positions covered. Not much out for a big return.

Most of these horses have been running around for 25 k and this is a 200k race! Some of them have excellent win ratios albeit in lower class, but our thinking is, quite a few will be giving up with a hundred to go.

We have them in order of:

3 Units - 2 TWO BIG FARI

2 Units - 15 CHARMMEBABY

1 Unit - 4 JAZZLAND

3 Units - 1 WREN'S DAY

0.25 Units - Exacta with the other selected horses - 8 TOTAL RECALL

TWO BIG FARI has been running in 125k races and this is not a lot harder. They won’t ride it back because of the draw, so likely to be ridden to get lead or hopefully box seat 1 out. Good form around it loves track conditions, distance and is lightly raced. Could have a bright future. Only query for us is the barrier. This is a good horse in the making, and races on the pace so it can make its own luck. Jockey is a bit down on usual averages so that is a little concern at the end of the race.

CHARMMEBABY is not dissimilar to our top rated in terms of form around it. Also distance, track conditions, and jockey are all similar. Will go back and steam home we think. There will be speed on early as a few of these are leaders and will be flat out to take a position. This will allow a swooper to power home late and this one fits the role. Been running in better company than this and is a promising horse. Ran 3rd in a 600k race last start. Most of these will never run in a race worth half that.

JAZZLAND is a bit of a query horse. Tough ask this race first up but can handle it if wound up. Been a difficult horse to place and they tried a middle distance last campaign but not up to it. This is much more to its liking. Excellent credentials for everything except the form out of its races has been poor.

WREN'S DAY is more a run on horse and may be closer in the run than Charmmebaby. Good form around it too. We are concerned that the straight won’t be long enough to overhaul some of these others.

TOTAL RECALL has good form lines in lower class. Big hype around Williams riding it, but is the horse good enough? Been in a lot lower class races than this. That said, has compiled an excellent record to date. Can’t take it at 4 dollars. But will stand it out in exactas for .25 unit with our other selections as that will be a good cover bet.

Good luck if you're having a punt, and make sure you're following @ppracingtips for more expert horse racing tips and analysis!
