@ppracingtips - Race of the Day 24/07

Good morning punters!

It's not the greatest time of the year for betting, but spring is only around the corner! With that being said, there are still winners to be found, they just aren’t as frequent or as easy to spot so you've got to pick your spots! We have gone to Rosehill R7 and if track conditions remain the same, we have some good priced chances in the race.

We have them in order of:

5 KIRWANS LANE 2 units @ 5 or better

4 ZIEGFIELD 2 units @ 6 or better

6 MILITARY ZONE 1 unit @12 or better

8 TRUE DETECTIVE 2 units @ 6 or better

KIRWANS LANE in nearly every form aspect, looks the winner. Form around it is good. Jockey, track, and in run positions suit perfectly. It's last start run was a testing run for this. Perfectly placed. Slight query if it is a listed horse as opposed to a good handicapper, but we still have this on top still.

ZIEGFIELD can handle the distance, all track conditions, and has listed as well as group 3. Has the form and is unbeaten second up. Leads or sits up on the pace. The real telling feature for us is the three barrier trials it had prior to its first up run. The horse is fit and has been set for this. Lightly raced with scope to develop into a very nice horse.

MILITARY ZONE is a bit of a query horse. We like the horse and it's last start in Brisbane, it ran a great race. A bit of a trip north may have been just what it needed to rejuvenate. Handles a good track and is the best times horse in the race so if it gets better during the day, we will be having a bit more on it to make up for our last two losses. Has great form around it and Tommy Berry has his pick of mounts in Sydney but has stuck with it. Seems like a long term strategy unfolding to us.

TRUE DETECTIVE looks to is to be the best of the Waller horses, if the track dries out to good. If it stays on a slow 6/7 then we are not as keen. Runs just off the pace and can finish over them. Has excellent times.

We think we have got two on pacers and two run on horses and horses that can handle all track types. So, we should have it covered.

Good Luck if you're having a punt, and be sure to follow @ppracingtips on Twitter for more racing knowledge, insight, and tips!
