NFL - Week 1

Falcons @ Vikings

  • Under is 26-16 under in Vikings home games under Mike Zimmer, including 11-6 in since 2017

  • Under is 2-0 in the two games these two coaches have coaches against each other

  • Total points scored of 30 and 23 points

  • Vikings have publicly stated that they want to pound the rock

Recommended Bet: 1.5u – UNDER 46.5 Total Points Scored @ $1.91 (BetEasy)

Rams @ Panthers

  • Under is 9-3-1 Panthers home games as underdogs since 2013

  • Under is 6-2 in the 8 Panthers Week 1 games under Ron Rivera

  • Average 31, Median 27.5

  • Under is 7-2 Rams road games last season

  • Average 48.66, Median 46

  • Rams didn’t start any starters throughout the pre-season. I fully expect them to take a few drives to start clicking offensively

Recommended Bet: 1.5u – UNDER 50.0 Total Points Scored @ $1.91 (Bet365)

Titans @ Browns

  • Under was 5-3 in the Titans road games last season

  • Average 35.5, Median 41 A couple of notes:

  • The Titans look very strong defensively, but very mediocre offensively. The Titans lack any real deep throwing game, and with starting Left Tackle, Taylor Lewan out suspended, I can see the Titans running the ball as much as possible.

  • As for the Browns side of the field, their Defence is also looking strong, and I think it’ll take some time for Baker and OBJ to connect on offence.

Recommended Bet: 1.5u – UNDER 45.5 Total Points Scored @ $1.90 (TAB)

Redskins @ Eagles

  • Bit of an obscure stat, but since 2006, there have been 45 divisional week 1 games where the home team is favourite, out of those 45, 23 (51.1%) of the games have been won by the home team by 1-13.

  • 50% of Eagles home divisional games have been won by 1-13 under Doug Peterson (4/8)

Recommended Bet: 0.5u Eagles 1-13 @ $2.55 (Sportsbet)

49ers @ Bucs

  • 49ers are 0-4 SU, 1-3 ATS when travelling to the Eastern Time Zone under Kyle Shanahan

  • 49ers were 0-7 SU, 2-5 ATS as road underdogs in 2018

  • Jimmy G couldn’t have been any worse over the pre-season if he tried. A passer rating of 77.1 in his two games, and there are reports that he threw FIVE (yes, five) interceptions at training… in a row.

  • New Bucs coach, Bruce Arians, has worked with the likes of Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck, and got the best out of Carson Palmer in his twilight years. This could be the coach that Jameis Winston has been waiting for. In the short-term, these two quarterbacks could be trending in separate directions.

Recommended Bet: 1 Unit – Bucs Win @ $1.83 (Bet365)
