@ppracingtips: Bendigo Race 2 – Wed. 02/09/2020

Bendigo Race 2 (13:35 AEST) has a lot of intriguing elements and bodes to be a very interesting race.

Some of these horses are in it to simply to get a run in over the distance, and we believe there's value to be found, here. We have them rated in the order of order of:

  • 8 - Piccatric

  • 1 - Light Pillar

  • 3 - Protection Money

  • 6 - Prince Alby

  • 5 - Kentucky’s Tornado

Some of these horses have other races on their mind so although they look good on paper, they’ll run an okay 5th. The field overall is lightly raced and most have some upside. We have aimed for some value here and settled on a couple of up and comers.

Please note our main selection has been scratched and we were very keen on it. If it isn’t injured, we will be watching to see where it starts next as we like this one.

One horse who has caught the eye is Piccatric (8). Lightly raced. Form around it is okay without being startling but we love the way it has been brought along. Not sure how well it goes on turf as most of its runs have been on the All-Weather, but maybe that was by design. Had 0/3 on a good track but Jye McNeil stays on so suggests might be well in this. Another at good odds. 1.5 units.

Light Pillar (1) also impresses and has scope for improvement here. Handles track conditions well Lightly raced Form around it rather good and is by Galileo so just hitting form after a few runs this campaign. Form was around 1/2 runs after spell. Distance suits perfectly. Invest 1 unit.

Protection Money (3) has a bit of upside. We are a bit concerned about its form on the track conditions but some of the failures were at unsuitable distances so prepared to risk as everything else including the form around it is excellent. Interesting Oliver stays on and distance good. Lightly raced a bonus. 0.5 units.

Prince Alby (6) we feel has the potential to win but they have been playing around with gear changes so whether or not it’s a disguise or they are perplexed we aren’t sure and would only be prepared to put in the multiples.

Kentucky Tornado (5) may well win but is poor value for us. So, we would only include in multiples. These short priced ones have a habit of running a place without winning.

Exacta & Quinella - 8,1,3,6,5 – 0.5 Units on each.

Good luck if you’re having a punt!
